The 5-Hour Workday: Time Management Strategies for Efficient Studying
The traditional 9-to-5 workday doesn't always translate seamlessly to student life. Between classes, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments, finding time to study can be a constant struggle. The idea of a 5-hour workday, inspired by forward-thinking companies that prioritize productivity over long hours, presents an intriguing shift in time management.
The premise is simple: Rather than spending countless hours studying inefficiently, students can condense their study time into focused, productive sessions. By adopting this approach, you can make your study hours more impactful and reclaim precious time for other pursuits.
Time Management Strategies for Efficient Studying
Set Clear Goals: Before you start studying, define your objectives. What do you want to accomplish during this study session? Setting clear goals helps you stay focused and on track.
Use the Pomodoro Technique: The Pomodoro Technique involves working in short, focused bursts (typically 25 minutes) followed by a short break. This method can help improve concentration and prevent burnout.
Prioritize Tasks: Identify the most important and time-sensitive tasks, and tackle them first. This ensures that you address your highest-priority assignments during your peak concentration periods.
Eliminate Distractions: Find a quiet, distraction-free space to study. Turn off your phone or use apps designed to block distracting websites and notifications.
Time Blocking: Allocate specific blocks of time for different subjects or tasks. This can help you manage your schedule more effectively and ensure that you give adequate attention to each subject.
Active Learning: Engage actively with the material by taking notes, asking questions, and discussing concepts with peers. Active learning enhances retention and understanding.
Quality Over Quantity: Focus on the quality of your study sessions rather than the quantity of time spent studying. A productive hour of focused study can be more valuable than several hours of distracted effort.
Implementing the 5-Hour Workday for Studying
Now that you have a set of time management strategies at your disposal, let's apply them within the context of the 5-hour workday:
Hour 1: Goal Setting and Planning
Start with a clear understanding of what you want to achieve during your study session.
Review your assignments and prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance.
Create a study plan for the day, allocating time for each subject or task.
Hours 2-3: Focused Study Session 1
Dive into your first study session with full focus and minimal distractions.
Apply the Pomodoro Technique, working for 25-30 minutes followed by a 5-minute break.
Use active learning techniques like note-taking and summarization to engage with the material.
Hour 4: Short Break and Review
Take a 15-20 minute break to recharge.
Use this time to review and reflect on what you've learned during the first study session.
Stretch, hydrate, and clear your mind before the next session.
Hours 5-6: Focused Study Session 2
Begin your second study session, following the same focused approach as the first.
Apply active learning strategies to enhance comprehension and retention.
Stay committed to the task at hand, knowing that you have a productive schedule.
Hour 7: Wrap-Up and Reflection
As your 5-hour workday concludes, take time to wrap up your study session.
Review your accomplishments and progress toward your goals.
Make note of any questions or areas that require further attention.
The Benefits of the 5-Hour Workday for Studying
Adopting a 5-hour workday approach to studying offers several advantages:
Increased Productivity: Condensing your study time promotes focused, efficient work, reducing the likelihood of procrastination.
Improved Time Management: By setting clear goals and prioritizing tasks, you become a more effective manager of your study time.
Enhanced Work-Life Balance: With a structured study schedule, you can allocate more time to other aspects of your life, including relaxation and leisure.
Incorporating the 5-hour workday into your study routine requires discipline and consistency. Over time, you'll refine your approach and find the balance that works best for you. Hey everyone it seems there a malicious individual trying to hack the sims cc community again and fill it with malware you need to stay vigilant as a creator and a downloader so
i have some tips for both to stay safe while downloading:
1- sims cc file extension is always .Package never download anything that is .exe
2- do not auto unpack zip files and rar files into your mods folder directly, open each zip or rar individually check the file extensions and drag them to your mods folder one by one
3- the only mods that have a .ts4script extension are ones that affect gameplay or how the game works, understand that if you are downloading cas or bb items you shouldn't have a .ts4script file
4- if you are downloading gameplay mods that do have .ts4script make sure that A) the creator hasn't announced on their pages that its infected B) you are downloading from a link provided by the creator of the mods themselves not something off of google or a link you got sent and make sure dates of upload match dated of announcements
5- if the mod or cc creator has retired and hasn't posted for a while LOOK AT THE DATES OF THE UPLOAD if it has been "updated recently" after the creator has left the community its most likely re-uploaded by a hacker and infected
6- download mod gaurd by Twisted mexi and keep it updated and keep your windows defender or malware detector Program up to date and always running do not disable it
7- make sure everything you download comes from a direct link from the cc creator, in this day and age do not trust link shortners, adfly, linkverse, etc get the universal bypass extension and ublock extension to stay safe but genuinely NEVER CLICK ON THOSE no matter how much the creator reassures you its safe it. is. NOT.
8- this is more of a general saftey precaution but, create a system restore point weekly before you run the game with new mods that way if anything happens you could have a chance to restore your windows to an earlier date before you downloaded anything.
9- BACK UP YOUR SHIT im serious right now either weekly or monthly put your files somewhere safe like a usb a storage card a hard drive even an online cloud if you dont have any of the previous.
10- files you should back up are your media from games and media everything else, any mods, games saves, work files, passwords, saved bookmarks, any documents txt files word files pdfs, links you saved, brushes or actions for Photoshop if you have any, any digital bills or certificates if you have any, and keep a physical list of all programs you have installed and where you installed them from
11- turn on any 2 factor authentication and security measures for any account you have
12- google and firefox have the option to check your paswords and emails against any data leaks USE THIS FEATURE and change any leaked passwords
13- regularly check your logged in sessions to make sure all the logged in devices or computers are yours and log out any that aren't and any old devices or unused sessions do this for every website and app you have an account on if available
14- change your passwords often. I know this is a hassle i know its hard to come up with new passwords but changing your passwords every few months will help you against anything mention previously that wasn't detected.
15- and as a cc creator check your cc and the accounts you host cc on and its uplaod and update dates make sure nothing has been changed without your permission :(
16- generally try not to get swept up in the "i must get it" fever you do not need to "shop" for mods weekly or monthly you do not need to download everything by that one creator you do not need to download new cc everytime you want to make a sim, im guilty of this so i know how hard it is to resist but take a breath and think "do i want this or do i need it" before downloading.
These are prevention methods i cant claim they are 100% will prevent any hacking but its better to be safe than sorry and these do keep you safe so
Brought to you by someone who has had their laptop ruined and data leaked from downloading cc once upon a time

Monday Study Motivation
It's a brand new week, and we're here to kickstart it with some inspiration and positivity! 🚀
Inspirational Quote of the Day: "Your education is a dress rehearsal for a life that is yours to lead." - Nora Ephron As we dive into another week of student life, remember that your education is not just about exams and assignments; it's a journey of self-discovery, growth, and preparation for the incredible life ahead. 📚 Now, let's delve into the story of a remarkable individual who faced adversity during their student years and emerged stronger than ever.
The Success Story of Oprah Winfrey 🌟
Oprah Winfrey, a household name known for her influential talk show and philanthropic work, faced numerous challenges during her student years that could have derailed her path to success.
Born into poverty in rural Mississippi, Oprah grew up facing economic hardships and a difficult family situation. Despite these obstacles, she developed a passion for learning from an early age. However, her educational journey was far from smooth sailing.
In her teenage years, Oprah attended Nashville East High School, where she faced discrimination and bullying due to her socioeconomic background. She not only dealt with the typical challenges of adolescence but also had to overcome racial prejudice.
Oprah's academic struggles led her to transfer to a different high school, where she joined the speech team. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of her journey towards becoming an exceptional communicator.
Oprah's tenacity and dedication to her studies eventually earned her a scholarship to Tennessee State University. While in college, she continued to face financial difficulties, often wearing dresses made from potato sacks because her family couldn't afford new clothes.
Despite these hardships, Oprah excelled academically and honed her public speaking skills. Little did she know that these experiences would pave the way for her future success.
Her breakthrough came when she landed a job in radio and later transitioned into television broadcasting. Oprah's natural charisma, intelligence, and empathetic nature quickly made her a popular talk show host. In 1986, she launched "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which became a cultural phenomenon, running successfully for 25 years.
Throughout her career, Oprah used her platform to inspire, educate, and uplift millions of viewers. Her journey from a disadvantaged background to one of the most powerful women in media is a testament to the power of perseverance, education, and self-belief.
So, as we start this week, let's draw inspiration from Oprah's story. No matter what challenges you face during your student years, remember that they can be stepping stones toward a brighter future. 💪✨
Whether you're struggling with exams, juggling work and studies, or facing personal obstacles, know that you have the resilience within you to overcome them.
Stay tuned for more tips, facts, and inspiration throughout the week to help you on your academic journey. Remember, you're capable of achieving greatness! 🌟📖

-–☆⁂☕︎Hacked☕︎⁂☆–--
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Credits: I got this lovely idea from @sobbingscripter go give her some love on her fics. Part 2
[yearning!tim] [slow burn] [mlw] [x reader] [fluff] [cutesy!tim] [sequel?] [plot twist?] [damian wayne cameo] [reader has glasses] [tim has glasses] [I repeat TIMMY BOY WEARS GLASSES]
Tumblr media
Tim is currently very high on energy drinks, trying to hack into Black Mask's mainframe. He is sure that he is behind the recent kidnapping, but he just can't prove it, yet.
He types in the encryption code into the Bat computer and before he can notice and fix his stupid caffeine induced typo, he clicks enter and he is met with a catalogue of photos.
At first, he sees screenshots from a lab website. Sionis working with chemicals? Then, he scrolls through and sees a photo of you. A young woman with at least 16 fries in your mouth, grinning at your friend.
Huh?
Tim closes the laptop and decides that he needs sleep. He's hallucinating and he needs desperate sleep.
After one of Alfred's soothing cups of 'sleepy tea' — that he's almost 75% sure has ground up and dissolved sleeping pills — Tim is out like a light.
The next morning, Time climbs back onto the Bat computer and nearly spits out his fresh croissant when he sees that you were not a hallucination of a pretty girl as he previously thought.
He scrolls through the camera roll, candid photos of the same young woman. Birthday videos, 0.5 photos, videos your friends took of you having a crashout about engineering homework. You were so cute with your messy hair and glasses gone askew on your face.
Tim threw the thought in the trash along with his croissant wrapper and continued his work from last night. He needed to get a grip. He types in the encryption code a second time, correctly and gets the same cellphone. Yours. He decides to dig a little deeper, but gets pretty distracted.
You're struggling with a homework question and asked many of your friends for help. Tim decides, you know, while he is in your phone, he'll just.. help you along. So, he types out a message, screenshots it and sent it yo your gallery.
>>—♡—>
"Oh my gosh. Look!" You say as you read the random Maths help that popped up in your gallery in a folder called 'Maths for pretty girls'.
>>—♡—>
That's how it started. You knew you'd been hacked but by a completely helpful guy. First it was Maths. It was the only reason that Tim hadn't un-hacked you, yet. Or, at least that's what he tells himself. In truth, he actually found your weird videos cute and the way you would send thank you pictures to him from the most unflattering angle known to man, captioned 'thank you mysterious elf'.
Tim despised being an elf but he supposed if a pretty girl called him that, he didn't mind.
>>—♡—>
After a month of Tim helping you with Maths, he decided to send a silly photo of himself, back. Was he dead on his feet? Yes. Was he on another caffeine high? Yes. Should he have gone to bed and left the Bat computer alone? Yes. Did he? No. But my goodness did he look damn good in blue light glasses, in a white t-shirt, messy dark hair as he leaned back in that gaming chair? Yes. Yes, he did.
Your jaw practically dropped when you saw that the guy helping you with your Maths problems was not only a nerd, but an attractive nerd. The universe was on your side.
You didn't respond because it was like 12am and you were half-asleep.
The next morning when Tim saw that he not only sent a picture of sleep deprived Tim to you, but he didn't get a single response. He was left on read.
He just sulked the whole morning and pretended he didn't jump when you added a picture of your outfit of the day to a shared album. He reached for his phone so fast, Bruce looked at him funny.
It was a cute dress. A dress. You looked so beautiful. The dress wasn't even revealing. it was flowey, had tulips on it. You had an adorable smile and your hair was down.
Tim decided to copy you. And not just in the 'oh I'll send an outfit of the day, too', way. He bought a similar dress and did the same exact thing. It made you laugh.
Days passed and you did the same, even adding a picture of you brushing your teeth to the album and so did he. And then Tim did something he was 89% sure was not his greatest idea.
He sent a photo of his phone number. On his bicep. Stupid? Yes. Cliche? Maybe. Effective? 100% you took a second to ogle his bicep before texting him.
The first thing he said was to meet up for coffee. You agreed. Did this mean that Tim was going to un-hack your phone? No. Did this mean he was going to start adding photos of random updates to the album, and calling Timmy and Me, a Project? No.
>>—♡—>
The coffee date made you a little nervous. This man looked good from all angles, even a crappy one where the only lighting was a computer screen while he was dead on his feet. And the first impression he had of you was 0.5 pictures and crashing out over engineering homework.
Tim thought the opposite. He thought that you were so pretty and confident and he was just a weirdo with an energy drink addiction and an atrocity of a sleep schedule.
"Why in Father's name are you dressed like that?" Damian asked as he stood at the doorway of Tim's room. Tim was wearing a Red Robin t-shirt, jeans and his yellow converse.
"Why? Is- Is there something wrong with it?" Tim was panicking. Maybe you didn't like Red Robin. Now his dreams of you getting all excited when he told you were crushed by Damian's tone.
"The colours are off. The red doesn't go well with your bright shoes. You don't want to scare off the girl."
Time froze. "How do you know I'm going in a date?"
"Because unless you're getting ready to play Binky The Clown at a Garfield Character Look Alike contest, you're not winning any points. Let alone with a female. They are complex species, Drake." Damian said.
"You got rejected, didn't you?"
"Shut up and change your shoes. Or very least the shirt. Perhaps the dress will match." With that parting sentence, Damian left. Dammit, he knew.
"I am not a cross-dresser, I swear!" Tim calls.
"No need to be ashamed, Drake. Grayson can do the splits without castrating himself and you like to wear dresses. We all have our things." Damian retorted, making Tim groan and flop down on the bed.
>>—♡—>
When Tim arrived to the cafe, he was not wearing a dress, nor the outfit from before. He wore a simple white tshirt, a pair of black jeans and his black converse. Who can go wrong with monochromatic? Colour doesn't look good on everyone.
That rule doesn't apply to you, apparently. You were so pretty. In a lilac dress, white socks that had frills on the tops paired with little black heels, and a pink cardigan. Your hair was down on your shoulders and your glasses hung low on your freckled face as you read a book in the corner. Tim puts his glasses on to make sure he isn't dreaming. Youre so beautiful. Did he even brush his hair.
He runs to his car and spends an extra 5 minutes fixing his hair. He then walks in like nothing happened and sits down in front of you.
"Hey, stalker." You say.
"Hey, gorgeous." WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?? Tim doesn't talk like that?? He is having an existential crisis right now.
"I- I mean. Hi. You're really pretty." He blabbers.
"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself. I like your glasses." You compliment. His brain short circuits.
"Me too. I mean, thanks. I like yours too. Nice eyes, by the way, where did you get them- I MEAN your necklace- chest. Dress." He lets out a gargling noise of embarrassment and buries his face in his hands. He wants the earth to swallow him right around now.
Then you laugh. At first, he's thinking 'oh my gosh, this girl is laughing at me'. And then, he's like, 'oh my gosh, this girl is laughing. She has such a pretty laugh. And it's directed at me.'
Tim looks up at you, a small smile on his face as he tries to calm the blushing down.
"So, what are you reading?" He asks.
>>—♡—>
A full 2 hours, about 3 hot chocolates and maybe a croissant or two later, the two of you finally bid goodbye. He watches you walk to a car. A very fancy car with someone in the front. His blood runs cold.
He's seen that guy before. That's.. Sionis' right hand. Shit.
>>—♡—>
"Of course she had to work with him. Of course." Tim whines once he gets home.
"Master Timothy, perhaps she is simply an associate of the man whom was driving her. Henchmen have families." Alfred consoles as he swaps out Tim's energy drink with tea.
"But I've seen that car before. The plates match up with a car that goes in and out of Sionis's estate on the daily. See, there's the car." The young man points to the screen as a car rolls into the driveway, the plates match up.
"Oh, dear." Alfred murmurs.
"Shall I let master Bruce know of this?"
"No, don't. I'll dig deeper. Be inconspicuous."
>>—♡—>
"You know, putting on a trenchcoat and sunglasses is not inconspicuous." Damian whispers in irritation.
"Shut up." Tim whacks his head.
"Sleep with one eye open tonight, Drake." Damian warns.
"Shh." Tim shushes as you walk past the cafe they are hiding at. You walk into a makeup shop.
"What girl goes shopping alone?" Damian whispers.
"Shut up." Tim says again, "Lots of girls go shopping alone."
"They don't even go to the bathroom with any less than a group. I wonder what they need that many girls for?"
"To compare chest sizes?"
"Disgusting. Point is- girls go nowhere alone, let alone shopping."
"Oh hey, Tim." You wave.
Damian looks up at you, muttering something about Tim's taste in women not being completely abysmal.
"Hey." Tim smiles.
"What are you doing here? And why are you dressed like that?"
"We came to spy on you." Damian says.
"What?" Tim acts oblivious. "No, we didn't."
"Right." You say, quite unconvinced. "Why spy on me? I'm just buying makeup."
"Why are you with Roman Sionis?" Damian asks. "I have no recollection of him working with females." He adds factually.
"I don't work with him." The words nearly make Tim leap with joy that you aren't working with him.
"Why were you in an out of his estate, then?" Tim asks once he has successfully stopped himself from leaping.
"I'm.. like his ward or whatever."
"What."

Inclusive Writing: Promoting Diversity and Representation in Academic and Creative Works
Inclusive writing, also known as diversity-conscious writing, is the practice of intentionally using language and framing that respects and includes all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or experiences. Here's why inclusive writing matters:
Representation: Inclusive writing ensures that underrepresented groups are acknowledged and represented in academic and creative works.
Accessibility: It promotes accessibility by making content understandable to a wider audience, including those with different cultural backgrounds or varying levels of familiarity with a subject.
Empowerment: Inclusive writing empowers marginalized voices, allowing them to share their experiences and perspectives.
Fostering Inclusivity: It fosters an environment of inclusivity and respect in academia and creative fields.
Strategies for Inclusive Writing
Use Inclusive Language: Avoid gendered language when unnecessary. Use gender-neutral terms like "they/them" when referring to individuals of unspecified gender.
Avoid Stereotypes: Steer clear of stereotypes and assumptions about race, gender, or other characteristics.
Cite Diverse Sources: Incorporate a diverse range of authors and sources in your work to reflect varied viewpoints.
Respect Cultural Differences: Be sensitive to cultural differences and customs, especially when writing about diverse topics.
Consider Your Audience: Think about your audience's backgrounds and perspectives to ensure your writing is relatable.
Ask for Feedback: Seek feedback from peers or colleagues from diverse backgrounds to identify any unintentional biases or exclusions.

Finally Getting Help (pt 3)
first | last | Masterpost | Next
What Tim and Bruce found was completely ridiculous. It really wasn’t hard to find the Doctors Fenton’s website but it was ridiculous! It was outdated and gaudy with animations of cartoony ghosts everywhere. If it hadn’t been for how clear Danny was about his parents' names Tim would have skipped right over it. But when he got past the terrible website design and started reading it his stomach just dropped lower and lower.
The writing was clean and scientific though it couldn’t disguise the malicious delight they took in tearing the creatures they called ‘ghosts’ apart. Whatever these ghosts really were Danny had been internalizing this attitude about Himself for years! They also bragged about their weapons and their government contract. So whether that was true or not Danny hadn’t been lying or delusional, it was his parents. And regardless of what these ghosts actually were it was obvious they were supernatural so RR sent a link to the website to Zatana.
(link)
RR: What do you think?
Tana: Lol is this a joke?
RR: I wish, I know it looks like one but no, this is deadly serious.
Tana: Hang on
Red Robin put down his phone to give Zatana the time to read over the site and looked more into Maddy and Jack Fenton while she did. He found their graduation certificates, and pictures of them in college with what must have been a much younger Vlad. So they were actually doctors of some sort, they had their doctorate, though that didn’t exactly make it any less likely they had gone fully off the rails now.
His phone dinged and he picked it up to see one short message from Zatana.
Tana: I’m coming to the cave.
Tim sighed and put his phone back down, spinning his chair to face B who was hunched over the computer typing furiously. “Zatana is on her way, I asked for her opinion of the Fenton’s research and she must think it’s big.” He said as he dug out a domino mask.
“Hm,” B sounded and went to get his cowl. “Report?”
“The Doctors Fenton are doctors, they got their doctorates though I don’t know in what yet. They’ve been friends with Vlad since university and they certainly at least think they’re studying ghosts. Their website has articles on behaviours and biology, and how to hunt and hurt ghosts. They brag about a government contract.” Tim summarized. “You?”
“The Ghost Investigation Ward does exist and they are a government agency but they only seem to be active in the town of Amity Park and they’re so inept! It wasn’t hard to hack them, they’re trying to sound mysterious and a little dangerous talking about protecting humanity from invasions from other worlds but I don’t think they’re actually that competent,” Batman said with a scowl.
“The only reason we didn’t know about this was because we weren’t looking! And it’s possible Danny is right and they were jamming calls from Amity to the JL, but I have a terrible feeling what actually happened if that the call came through and someone heard them talking about ghosts and rogue government agencies, assumed it was a prank and blocked them,” Bruce said massaging his temples.
“Ah,” Tim said, his heart dropping at how plausible that sounded. Could they have saved Danny before, if they had taken that call seriously.
“And Vlad is the mayor of his town, there are articles about Danny fighting him in public. It seems like everyone knew their relationship was antagonistic at best and No One defended him. The GIW also listed him in their special thanks for helping fund them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been using them as a tool to threaten and control Danny.” Batman said with cold fury. Tim took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
“We weren’t able to protect him, but we will avenge him. And we’ll keep him safe Now,” Tim reminded his father. Privately thinking that as soon as he could he was going to tell Jason about this so they could Really make sure Vlad never came near Danny again. An arrest just wasn’t strong enough for a man like that. He wasn’t going to tell Bruce that though, obviously.
The sound of the Zeta tube interrupted their moment as Zatana arrived, looking slightly more ruffled then she usually did. She must have really rushed here, which was a bit worrying.
“Zatana,” Batman greeted.
“Hello Batman, before we talk I need to check your wards.” She said already walking past them.
“Hm,” Batman sounded, making RR smile a little, how Batman made that sound mean so many different things always sort of amazed him.
“I need to check the ones on your home too. And I’d like to meet the boy you have under your care,” She said briskly.
“How did you know about the boy?” Batman asked gruffly.
“Lucky guess,” she said briskly, her hands glowed as she walked around the cave, making seemingly random gestures as if touching or pulling on invisible threads. None of the bats really understood magic so they left her to it. When she was done they let her up into the manner, she knew their identities already after all and she checked all the wards on the home very thoroughly, occasionally casting spells to reinforce them. They collected Dick and Damian trailing after them curiously as they went as well.
“Alright, can I meet the boy now?” She asked, turning towards Bruce who crossed his arms and puffed out his chest a bit.
“Not till you explain to us what’s going on,” He growled and Zatana looked over the curious stubborn faces surrounding her and sighed.
“Fine,” she allowed, resigned. She rubbed her temples as she looked around for a chair and sunk down into it. “So what the Fentons seem to be referring to as Ghosts are actually denizens of the Infinite Realms, the space in between every world and afterlife. Some of the beings there were once people who died but many aren’t. They’re also known to be very powerful and quite violent though thankfully not particularly interested in the living. The fact that the Government is apparently messing with something like this is very bad news.
“Constantine and I have been keeping half an eye on the situation in Amity Park but they had their own pair of Heroes, Phantom and Red Huntress, who seemed to have the situation well under control so we weren’t all that worried about it. We weren’t tracking the more human elements of the GIW and the Fentons,” She bit her lip and thought for a moment.
“When Tim sent me that website and I was made aware of those, that changed things. What’s worse is the photo the Fentons’ have of their family. Their son… we knew Phantom looked young but ghosts often stay at a younger age than they really are, with how powerful he was we assumed he was Old. But he looks exactly like the Fenton’s son. Did they not notice he was dead or…” She looked around at their faces, apparently getting her answer from their expressions.
“There have been rumours for a long time about a very rare and powerful sort of living dead, humans soaked in the pure energy of the infinite realms resulting in a still living ancient. It’s so rare that people usually think it’s a fairy tale but with the work Phantom’s parents do it makes a sick sort of sense. And what it means is that that boy you have stashed away is basically a baby God and we all have to be very careful.”
There was a heavy silence as they all processed what she was saying. “Are you… sure?” Tim asked, uncertainly.
“I won’t be till I meet him, but I’m as sure as I can be without that at the moment,” she said firmly.
Tim sighed and pulled out his phone. “Cas is with him, I’ll text her to see if she’s up to meeting you. If he’s that powerful we don’t want to push him right?” He asked as he typed out a text to Cas.
“Yes. Like I said he’s been acting as a hero in Amity, he seems like a good kid but I have no doubt in my mind if he’s pushed too far we could have a truly apocalyptic situation on our hands,” She said which made Tim swallow thickly.
His phone dinged and he checked it. “Danny is willing to meet you but he’s really tired so go easy on him and don’t stay long,” Tim relayed her message.
“Alright that’s fine, thank you. Show me the way please,” She requested.
Bruce took over, leaving the way. “We don’t want to overwhelm him, I think only I and Zatana should go in, with Cas still there since he seems to feel safe with her,” Bruce informed his children.
“Alright, just tell us everything soon!” Dick demanded and Bruce’s lips twitched up in just the suggestion of a smile as he nodded to them.
He took off his cowl, he wasn’t in his full uniform anyway and he didn’t want to scare Danny. Besides if he had been a hero even if he clocked Bruce he would understand.
“Hello Danny, it’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Zatana,” She introduced herself s she followed Bruce in. She would have offered her hand to shake but Danny was half hiding behind Cas sitting on the bed.
“It’s nice to meet you too. What’s with the outfit?” He asked curiously which made her laugh.
“I’m a hero, one of the less known ones. I’m part of Justice League Dark which is their supernatural division along with Constantine and Deadman and a few others. He’s a ghost, but I assure you the government hasn’t been giving him any trouble, probably because they knew they wouldn’t get away with it.”
“So I’m just lucky then,” Danny said with a bitter curl to his lips.
“As a hero, I want to ask, are you Phantom?” She asked rather bluntly.
Bruce shivered as the temperature in the room suddenly dropped a few degrees and Danny’s eyes started to swirl with green as he glared at Zatana who managed to barely react. Batman noticed how her back tensed a bit but it was barely there. “You know?” Danny demanded. “You knew about what was going on in Amity and you didn’t help?!”
“I’m very sorry Danny,” She said genuinely. “We knew something was going on, but we didn’t look closely enough. We thought that you were an older ghost just of someone who died young because of your strength, and it looked like things were under control. Normally our involvement wouldn’t have been appreciated, intruding on someone’s haunt, so we didn’t look any closer. I am so sorry we overlooked you but we’re going to make up for it now I promise.
“I’ve checked and reinforced the wards on the house so nothing should be able to come in uninvited, and I’m going to contact the rest of the JLD. We’re going to go to Amity, we’ll figure this out and deal with it I promise.”
The temperature in the room slowly went back up, Danny was still upset, but he didn’t seem like he was about to snap anymore. While Zatana had been talking Cas had started gently rubbing Danny’s back and that seemed to be helping too. After a moment Danny looked up again and nodded, accepting the help.
“The veil must be very thin there, to let so many ghosts through?” Zatana probed gently.
“It is, but more than that two years ago my parents succeeded in building a portal to what they call the Ghost Zone. This kinda green world of floating islands.
“A portal,” Zatana said flatly, blinking rapidly. “To the Infinite Realms?”
“Ah is that what it’s really called? Ya probably? That’s how everyone’s been getting through. How I got my powers too, the ghosts call me a halfa, but I’m not the only one. Vlad’s one too.”
Batman heard Zatana mutter “Two?” softly, baffled and alarmed but she nodded. Bruce filed that information away too, it seemed Vlad was even more of a threat then he’d first appeared to be.
“Alright, I’ll get as many of the JLD together as I can and we’ll head to Amity. We’ll shut down the portal and deal with this.” She said determinedly.
From the look on Danny’s face he didn’t really believe her, but he nodded again and leaned against Cas. “Good luck I suppose,” he muttered and sighed, rubbing his face.
“Just… tell me if you get in over your heads okay, I’m used to dealing with all this stuff.” God he sounded so tired, the poor kid.
“I will, but don’t worry about us, just take care of yourself okay? This is a good place to be, I promise you won’t have to be alone anymore.” Zatana assured him. She probably had more questions, but it was very obvious that Danny was getting tired.
“Bruce is good dad,” Cas chimed in, speaking up for the first time. It embarrassed Bruce a little but he smiled at them and nodded a little.
“Thank you,” Danny said, his shoulder slumped and his back curled. “Can I go to bed now?”
“Of course Chum,” Bruce agreed, starting to shoo Zatana out of the bedroom with Cas on their heels. When they closed the door behind them Bruce heard the lock click quietly closed behind them. He really hoped that Danny would feel safe enough to sleep well.

Self aware Tim is going to hack into another universe's earth internet just to pester us about fandom and game theories and unwittingly kink shame (praise?) us. God save us all if he finds the secret Tumblr blogs. An online stalker that you can't block or find or reach.
— Silly Reader
Kink praising is his kink !
After all, you're his everything. Why would he shame you for who you are? Why would you shame yourself?
Sorry, is he being too nosey again? It isn't his fault per say. He's cut his patrols just a little and now he has some extra time to (stalk) talk with you! He just wants to know everything.
He's a curious guy. And he loves pleasing his partners! He's really the perfect choice. He promises.
Now what do you prefer in a partner?
I mean, the both of you can get over the whole 'he's not real in your universe' thing, together. Obviously he is real. He's (stalking-obsessed, no, shit .ᐟ) interested in you. He has hacked through multidimensional wavelengths for you.
Why can't you just give him a little bit more? He's given you everything. He has been your entertainment. Now it's time for you to be his... but like in a cutesy romcom way! You do like those... don't you? (He's totally not noting that down for later.)
And Tumblr.com. It's his new favorite website because you are on it!
Who says he didn't hack into this account and respond to this ask just for you? Guess you'll never know. And a little birdie definitely will not !!! tell you.

DISCOVER. L, I, M, P, Say it.
!! (Self aware bsd boys)
Tumblr media
WARNING! Obsessive behaviour in some and angst.
A/N: Sorry for any grammer mistake i made!!
Self aware!Dazai, Chuuya, Jouno, Fyodor, Ranpo, Sigma x Gn! Reader
You really was the most airheaded human, in Dazai's eyes. Because he learned everything about you in just few weeks, while you only knew him as a popular 2d... character? Dazai knew he didnt thought himself as a human but being a non human in different world with a canon fact hurted him. He's not gonna even talking about the... writer version himself in your life. He just wanted something really clearly over his life and it was YOU. You, who made him self aware by mistake. You who made him fell for someone really. You, who made him want to live for a little longer to know you...
"Cute." Chuuya thought. You were really looking cute trying to sew a plush version of him while looking at the manga's colored page to match his features. He hated it when you closed the page tho. Yes he could always try to put himself that is connected with his... other self's but manga was the easiest one since he was origannly from here. He wondered. What would you look like in here too? Would you have powers? Would you meet him? Would you be... his love interest? Well he was never gonna know the truth. The only truth that he know was he was falling- no. Already fallen in love with you.
Jouno hated how stupid and complicated this situation was. And he hated how he couldn't do anything, even a simple thing for you. He hated how pathetic this... no he was. He fallen for you, who was a REAL different version of human. Who was in another reality. He knew that you didn't even knew what you did to him. In your eyes, he was just a character that you enjoyed... reading. Ah he guessed that life was giving him a punishment because of his brutal actions for others. How brutal....
You really wondered that if your pc got a virus or something. Because everytime you try to search or write something there was a thing that made you remember fyodor. Like when you try to an essay for your study, your computer would always write "fyodor" that any word that starts with f. Or when you opened a website you would always see fyodor's manga version. But you thought you just freaked out because... what kind of virus would do that right? Wrong. You were wrong for thinking you were wrong. Fyodor, who hacked all of your system would always make you remember who loves you most. He wanted to engrave himself into your subconscious. Because one day, when he finds a way to bring you into his universe, you would not lose your way to find him...
Ranpo had always thought he was smart. Or rather, it was like that in the past... Because ever since he met you, he saw himself as the smallest-brained person in the world. No matter how hard he tries, no matter how many times he reaches different thoughts, he couldn't reach you. While you could always reach him with a single page turn or google, he barely understood that you were from another universe... At first he thought you were just one of the games of Poe's books. He wished you were. Maybe if you were, he would never have fallen in love with you so hard...
Sigma was so surprised when he was able to discover you for the first time. But more than being surprised, he felt very close to you. Because you... were like a different universe version of him. He was born from a book. For him, you were a book that born in a different universe and watching him. The day you read the story about him and smiled because you felt close to him, he realized that he was in love with you. But if there was one part that wasn't surprising at all for him, it was that he couldn't reach you. Ah, because it wasn't just people playing with him all his life. His life was the biggest user playing with him. After all, It didnt change the fact ... he was really just a written person. In any reality.

do you have any advice for those in the very early stages of thesis-writing? currently desperately clinging to the mantra of "shitty first drafts," et al
Unfortunately, there is no place where you will more whole-assedly have to embrace the "shitty first draft" mantra than in academic writing, especially in thesis writing, especially if this is your first-ish crack at an advanced and major piece of original research. I'm not sure if this is for an undergraduate senior thesis, a MA-level thesis, or (my true and heartfelt sympathies) a PhD dissertation, but the basic principles of it will remain the same. So there is that, at least. This means that yes, you will write something, you may even feel slightly proud of it, and then you will hand it into your supervisor and they will more or less kindly dismantle it. You have to train yourself to have a thick skin about this and not take it as a personal insult, and if your supervisor is remotely good at their job (not all of them are, alas) they will know how to be tactful about it and not make it feel like a direct and extensive commentary on your private worth as a person. But you will have to swallow it and do what you can, which can include -- if you're the one who has done the research and know that's how you want to present it and/or you are correct about it -- pushing back and having a conversation with them about how you think your original approach does work best. But that will come later. The first step is, yes, to mentally gird yourself to receive critical feedback on something that you have worked hard on, and to understand that no matter how much you grump and grumble and deservedly vent to your friends and so on, implementing the feedback will usually make your piece better and stronger. That is the benefit of working with a trained expert who knows what makes a good piece of research in your particular academic field, and while it doesn't get easier, per se, at least it gets familiar. Be not afraid, etc.
If you're in the writing stage, I assume that you've moved past the topic-selection and general-research stage, but allow me to plump once more the services of your friendly local university library. You can (or at least you can at mine and probably in any decently well-equipped research university) schedule a personal consultation with an expert librarian, who can give you tips on how to find relevant subject databases, create individual research guides (these might already be available on the university library website for classes/general topics), and otherwise level you up to Shockingly Competent Research Superhero. So if you're still looking for a few extra sources, or for someone else who might be reading this and is still in the "how the heck do I find appropriate and extensive scholarly literature for my thesis??" stage, please. Go become a Research Ninja. It's much easier when you have a minion doing half the work for you, but please do appreciate and make use of your university librarian. It's much more effective than haphazard Google Scholar or JSTOR searches hoping to turn up something vaguely relevant (though to be fair, we all do that too), and it's what your tuition dollars are paying for.
Next, please do remind yourself that you are not writing the whole thesis in one go, and to break it down into manageable chunks. It usually does make sense to write the whole thing semi-chronologically (i.e. introduction, lit review, chapter 1, chapter 2/3/4 etc, conclusion), because that allows you to develop your thoughts and make logical connections, and to build on one piece to develop the next. If you're constantly scrambling between chapters and zig-zagging back and forth as things occur to you, it will be harder to focus on any one thought or thread of research, and while you might get more raw output, it will not be as good and will require more correction and revision, so you're not actually hacking yourself into increased productivity. You should also internally structure your chapters in addition to organizing your overall thesis, so it makes sense to draw up a rough outline for section A, section B, section C within the body of a single chapter. This will make you think about why the segues are going in that order and what a reasonably intelligent reader, who nonetheless may not have the specialized knowledge that you are demonstrating for them, needs to move understandably from one section to the next.
Some academics I know like to do an extensive outline, dumping all their material into separate documents for each chapter/paper and kneading and massaging and poking it into a more refined shape, and if that works for you -- great! I'm more of the type that doesn't bother with a ton of secondary outlines or non-writing activity, since that can lead you away from actually writing, but if you need to see the fruit of your research all together in one place before you can start thinking about how it goes together, that is also absolutely the way that some people do it. Either way, to be a successful academic writer, you have to train yourself to approach academic writing in a very different way from fun writing. You do fun writing when you have free time and feel inspired and can glop a lot of words down at once, or at least some words. You do it electively and for distraction and when you want to, not to a set timeline or schedule, and alas, you can't do this for academic writing. You will have to sit your ass down and write even when you do not feel like writing, do not feel Magically Inspired, don't even want to look at the fucking thing, etc. I have had enough practice that I can turn on Academic Writing Brain, sit down, bang something out, sit down the next day and turn on Academic Editing Brain, go over it again, and send it off, but I have been in academia for uh, quite a while. The good news is that you can also automate yourself to be the same way, but the bad news is that it will take practice and genuine time invested in it.
As such, this means developing a writing schedule and sticking to it, and figuring out whether you work best going for several hours without an interruption, or if you set a timer, write for a certain time, then allow yourself to look at the internet/answer texts/fuck around on Tumblr, and then make yourself put down the distraction and go back to work for another set period of time. (I am admittedly horrible at putting my phone away when I should be doing something else, but learn ye from your wizened elders, etc.) You will have to figure out in which physical space you work best, which may not be a public coffee shop where you can likewise get distracted with doing other things/chatting to friends/screwing around on the internet/doomscrolling/peeking at AO3, and to try to be there as often as possible. It might be your carrel in the library, it might be your desk at home, it might be somewhere else on campus, but if you can place yourself in a setting that tells your brain it's time to work and not look at WhatsApp for the 1000th time in a row, that is also beneficial.
Finally, remember that you do not have to produce an absolutely world-beating, stunningly original, totally flawless and perfect piece, even in its final form. Lots of us write very shitty things when we're starting out (and some of us, uh, still write very shitty things as established academics), and you do not have to totally redefine your entire field of study or propose a groundbreaking theory that nobody has heard of or anything like that. A lot of academic work is small-scale and nuanced, filling in spaces on the margins of other things or responding or offering a new perspective on existing work, and it's best to think of it as a conversation between yourself and other scholars. They have said something and now you're saying something back. You don't need to be so brilliant that everyone goes ZOMGZ I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT BEFORE; by its nature that happens very rarely and is usually way out on a limb (extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, etc); you just need to continue the dialogue with a reasonably well-constructed and internally plausible piece. So if you think of it that way, and understand that a shitty first draft will usually develop into something that is good and valuable but not SHOCKING NEW REVELATION clickbait hype, you will take some of the pressure off yourself and be more able to shut up that perfectionist voice in your head. However, all of us have some degree of imposter syndrome and it never entirely goes away, so you'll have to manage that too. Etc etc as before, it doesn't vanish altogether, but it gets easier.
And last but not least, though I'm sure I don't have to say this: for the love of fuckin' god, do not use ChatGPT. Even the genuinely shittiest paper in the world that you still worked on researching, organizing, and writing with your own brain is better than that. Trust me.
